Arjen Robben opened the scoring just after the start of the second half with a fantastic dribble then shot finding the left side of goal and beating Valdes.

Bayern doubled the advantage when Gerard Pique gave away an own goal trying to clear the danger only to kick the ball straight into the back of the net. Thomas Muller added another before the game ended.
