It was Basel who struck first to give themselves a lead on the night with Mohamed Salah scoring in extra time in the first half.

But after the half-time break, Chelsea stepped up their game and produced 3 goals in 9 minutes to effectively close the match.

Fernando Torres added to his tally of Europa League goals when he found top right corner from within the six yard box.

Then 2 minutes later, Victor Moses gave the Blues the lead with a shot finding the bottom right corner. David Luiz put the final touches on the game when his shot from outside the box found the top corner.
