But the Malaysian side got their goal with Amri Yahyah thumping the ball past Valdes after Alba failed to deal with the long aerial ball.
Barcelona took the lead straight back with Neymar scoring another goal for his new side and then they doubled the advantage with Gerard Pique completing a striker esque finish.
