Chelsea opened the scoring in the first half with Belgian international Kevin De Bruyne who recently returned from his loan spell in Germany getting the advantage on the Rossoneri.
De Bruyne cleverly shot along the ground with Abbiati barely reacting to the ball which ended up in the bottom left corner.
In the second half Milan had their chances as did Jose Mourinho's men but it was the Blues who would score again with former Bayer Leverkusen striker Andre Schurrle scoring his first goal for the club, all be it unofficial.
