Lazio took the lead first when a cross which came in towards goal only to strike the Inter keeper and find the net. Ricky alvarez was able to equalize but the Roman side found the lead again on the stroke of half time with Brazilian Hernanes converting from the spot.
Alvarez had the chance to equalize for Inter from the spot but as he took the kick, he slipped and the ball ballooned over the cross-bar.
Ogenyi Onazi gave Lazio a two goal lead and the victory when his touch of class, working past a couple of Inter defenders and then finding the top right corner with a superb strike.
