Thomas Muller opened the scoring for the Baverians in the mid point of the first half and at the start of the second, he set up Gomez's goal with a header across the face which Gomez finished without trouble.

Arjen  Robben extended their lead to three when he dribbled around Jordi Alba and then proceeded to shoot around Valdes into the bottom left corner.

Thomas Muller was once again in the mix when he added a second to his name from a low ball towards the face of goal.
