Bayer Leverkusen were able to hold onto one point thanks to goal keeper Bernd Leno to let them stay in touch with a the Baverians on the table.
Bayern scored first with Toni Kroos finding the back of the net before in form winger Sidney Sam equalising less than 60 seconds later. Bayer held on for the draw with a stubborn defense proving to be decisive.
