Liverpool handed former PSG captain Mamadou Sakho his first start for the Anfield club while on loan Chelsea player Victor Moses also started.
It was a fast start to the match with two goals scored in the first four minutes with Daniel Sturridge cancelling out former Liverpool player Jonjo Shelvey's opener.
Victor Moses scored his first goal for the club later in the first half but Swansea star Michu would equalise in the second half with the last few minutes very tense for both clubs.
