The Catalans were in a fairly comfortable position going into the last 15 minutes of the match with a two goal lead thanks to Messi and Dani Alves but Sevilla hit back through Coke and Rakitic to make it even money going into stoppage time.

Unfortunately for Sevilla they were not able to hold on for the draw or steal a win with Barcelona finding a winner very late in the piece with Chilean international Alexis Sanchez the man to find the back of the net.

Barcelona will meet Ajax in the opening Champions League group stage match while Sevilla meet Estoril in their Europa League match up.
