But the lead would not be kept by the Eastlands club for too long with Bayern finding an equaliser in the form of a penalty which was converted by Thomas Muller.
The Germna club added another which would eventually be the winner with Croatian Mario Mandzukic finding the back of the net five minutes after Muller's goal.
