It was Paraguay who got off to a flier with the visitors leading early before they would strike again and by the 14th minute they would have a two goal lead.
Germany found a goal to cut the deficit with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan finding the back of the net before Bayern forward Thomas Muller equalised.
The South American side regained the lead on the half but Germany who were definite favourites at the start of the night would score again in the second half to have the score end three goals apiece.
