Goals from Arjen Robben and also Mario Mandzukic had the home side up by two goals after just 16 minutes. Robben was able to get his toe onto the end of a beautiful ball while Madzukic was left with a simple tap in off a rebound.
But the visitors pulled one back with Bayern defender Dante unfortunately handing a goal to their opposition.
The second half proved to be much the same with Bayern again being able to score a third goal with David Alaba converting from the spot just seconds after Thomas Muller missed a penalty.
