Dortmund opened the scoring against the Bundesliga champions with Kevin Grosskreutz finding the back of the net in the early stages of the game. But Bayern were able to comeback when Mario Gomez headed home Rafinha's cross.

It was a tense end to the match in the second half with Robert Lewandwoski missing from the spot and then Rafinha getting sent off just minutes afterwards but Bayern held on for the draw.
